I'm hoping to get through as many of the Insecure Writers Support Group postings this week as I can, but nobody is Ninja Captain Alex Cavanaugh, so I'll probably miss a couple hundred blogs on the linky.
I've been inspired by a lot of artists lately, and so I'd like to post some videos, and hope that some of these Meet The Artist interviews inspire your own creativity. Feel free to pick and choose which authors you watch; I tried to get a variety, but as I'm not into several genres, you may not find something you like here.
The first one is Johnny Cash, on the death of his long time obsession/wife June Carter Cash. This is because I have followed Johnny Cash's career since I was a kid, and I have always been inspired by his life story and the personal crisis he has overcome, even though he is not a writer.
Stephen King
Neil Gaiman
Nicholas Sparks
Jodi Picoult
George RR Martin
Dean Koontz
John Grisham
Christopher Paolini
Patricia Cornwell
Lauren Weisberger
Daniel Silva
R.L. Stine
Terry Pratchett
I hope you found something of interest here. If not, well . .

Often I don't get to everyone on the list since it's so big now!
Sometimes it's just seeing the authors - you realize they are just regular people. Well, beyond regular as they didn't give up.
I like Nicholas Sparks, not so much the work, but his warm style and postivity.
Can't stand Paolini, though. I did his ERAGON for my country and almost died from the shallowness of his writing and utter absence of talent.
SQUEEE! I LOve Stephen King. Thanks for allowing me to have my morning coffee with King. Also Koontz, and Grisham. Wow, this must have taken oodles of time put together. You're a dear.
Lots of the greats there, King, Grisham and even RL Stine work for me.
i need to remember to watch these when i get back in town. no time today.
These are so awesome! Thanks for putting these up!
There are some great ones. I've always appreciated just about anything Stephen King or Dean Koontz has to share. Thanks for posting!
Any man who could compose FOLSOM PRISON BLUES, I consider a writer. Songs are mini-stories set to music. I wish you the greatest luck in finding anthologies for your short stories! Mine are too long!! LOL.
Ahh, Pratchett and Gaiman. Who doesn't love those two giants of fantasy?
donna, you are so inspirational!
thanks for these videos & your uplifting posts!
Thank you for posting all these videos; there are some amazing writers here.
Great inspirations. And who doesn't like watching some Obi-Wan Kenobi mind tricks, I ask you? :)

These are awesome vids. Will come back and check them out. I love dear ole Johnny too. Think I have most of his albums. I'm not sure how many of his songs he wrote. If he did, he is a writer.

Yes and I think Nicolas Sparks is an easy-reading author we can learn a lot from. I've studied his books for the way he handles POV. He's so easy to follow. D.
What a gallery of inspiration! Thanks for entertaining me this morning! :)
Happy 4th!
Wow, I am curious as to what Neil, Grisham, Judi and Prachett have to say. Thanks Donna for the share. Happy July.
Nice posting with video's and love all your choices. :) Enjoyed your posting very much.
Hello everyone; thanks for stopping by. I'm sorry I'm not answering individually, but I've been busy here at my house with finishing a story to be submitted, cleaning for my daughters visit, and catching up with family. And, we have several employees out at my day job, and being lead worker, I feel I need to pick up the slack and be at my best - as one of those missing personnel is my direct supervisor.
A bit of unannounced break to tend to some real life, and still get a couple hours sleep a night.
I will be visiting everyone's blogs, so I'll see ya'll at your own sites.
Have a happy fourth, if it isn't over for you yet; and if it is, hope you had lots and lots of fun :)
And save me some potato salad; I didn't get any yet.

Sparks always comes off as goofy to me. He's local - home town of New Bern is an hour from where I live - and I always ended up doing book signings the weekend before his appearance there.
Oh, so many great interviews!!!
I saw Ann Patchett give a talk last year and I absolutely loved hearing her and her take on writing/working.

This is fun. I'll be back to listen to them all. Thanks so much.
Hey I missed the potato salad too. I think I'll go and 'rethink my life'. Ha!
Wow! Great IWSG post...thanks for sharing. Off to more blogs myself...lots to read!
